Saying Goodbye
So last week I decided I needed to get a grip, or take some control over my spending. Well it has been a week and I am pretty proud of what I accomplished. Though sad for a few loses.
I listed 10 items on eBay last Monday morning. So far nine of them have sold for a total of $388.
I also listed three items on Fashionphile to sell back to them. They have accepted to of the items so far for a total of $1800.
There is still one item on eBay and one on Fashionphile I am waiting on.
Not bad for one week right?
Though I have to have a moment of silence for me precious handbag "jewel". She was from Cruise 2013 Louis Vuitton Limited Edition Alma BB Studded. I was obsessed with finding this bag. I realize now that is crazy to say I was obsessed with finding a bag when there are so many more important things that I should obsess over. But nonetheless I did obsess over this bag for a good few month. I am so excited when I finally found out. But in reality it wasn't a practical bag and I havent even used it for a year. It is sad but it is just a thing. And I am letting that thing go.
This week I am going to work on listing a bunch of my jackets on Ebay to see. I probably have ten jackets and if I can at lease get forty dollars each that would be $400 which I think would be good. I am thinking if I can average about $400 a week in selling items that could really help me in as I could send that all directly to credit cards.
I realize that it will be hard to keep that up for an entire year but if I did that would be $20k that would go back to my credit cards. I realize I am on week 2 so I shouldn't get ahead of myself. But I think if I take it one week at a time I can find ways to either sell items, save money or side hustle something in order to generate the extra income to bring those credit cards down fast.
I look around my house and there is just so much stuff. I am starting with getting rid of the more pricey items as those are going to be the easier ones to sell and they are going to have the bigger impact. I do want to have a garage sale as I think I can get rid of so much stuff. Maybe I could see if they could organize a garage sale in my development that I am in. I would make at least a thousand dollars off that.
OK so my random rambling is complete for today. Here is to another week of hopefully good decision making.
